Our Tribe is an environmentally and socially conscious community that originated in the UAE and, spreads across the Middle East region, and around the world. You could be our subscribers, our regular readers, or social media followers. You also could be our expert contributor, our Ambassador or Sustainability Tribe partner, or sponsor. Or you could be someone who likes to comment on our articles, share them or like to attend our community events.
These community guidelines are for Our Tribe and we are committed to maintaining our community as a safe, friendly, and helpful place without any biases.
- Feel free to express your opinion, share knowledge, and even disagree if you are adding value and improving the discussion.
- Be civil and respectful towards others in our Tribe. If you would not want it said to you do not say it to someone else. That means no discriminatory comments, no personal attacks, no foul language, no defamatory statements, no inappropriate behavior, and no incitement to violence
- No hate speech. We do not hate anyone individuals or organizations at Sustainability Tribe, even if you might not be contributing to the environment or social sustainability. Sustainability Tribe’s philosophy is everyone needs awareness and the right direction to act positively. We are inclusive and want to include everyone to be able to raise awareness and educate them about sustainable living. We want to give everyone an opportunity to get educated and then act. So all are welcome!
- Don’t join to sell something. You can’t pretend to be part of our community and then try to sell something, not even yourself, through any self promotion activity. We do not accept this behavior. If you have a sustainable business, product, etc. contact us we will help you, promote you. Sustainability Tribe is a place to learn about climate action and add value toward greening communities.
- At Sustainability Tribe, there is no place for illegal, unethical, and unsustainable ideas, content, products, businesses, etc. Sorry, we can’t include you. That includes, but is not limited to, plagiarism, greenwashing, gambling, alcohol, drugs, smoking, inappropriate, culturally insensitive, or other activities that may promote polarization.
- Our sponsorship helps businesses promote their sustainable products, initiatives, and services. In return, our community understands sustainability from a business and consumer perspective. Being a self funded social enterprise, we highly value our sponsors and their contribution towards our financial sustainability. However, we follow UAE regulations and our self imposed ethos and ethical marketing practices strictly, without exception.
- If you are participating in any of our initiatives (like #ZeroWasteUAE) or programs (like Ambassador), volunteering for us, or participating in our community events you need to abide by our rules. You can flag and report such behavior from a fellow Tribe member by contacting us.
- Anyone who is not following our community guidelines will be removed; from our website comments section, subscribers, social media, community events, etc.
